He and his wife Davina, have been married since May 1978 and have two grown sons. The oldest, Lee, and his wife, Laura, live in Cincinnati and have a daughter and son, Morgan and Evan. Their younger son, Joseph, and his wife, Carrie, have two daughters, Ella and Maggie, and live in Campbellsville. Brent and Davina are both natives of Taylor county and graduates of Taylor County High School. They live a few miles outside of Campbellsville on the farm where Davina grew up.

For over thirty years, Brent served as a bi-vocational pastor, working in the auto parts industry, managing stores and dealership parts departments for many of those years. He also has experience in agriculture, retail sales, security services, and educational testing and assessment. He has dealt with people from all walks of life and has a great appreciation for their diversity. His approach to preaching is simple and direct, seeking to make the message as easy as possible to understand, while relying on the Holy Spirit to convict and draw people to respond to God’s leadership. If you are in the area, you’re invited come and hear him share God’s word at Meadowview Baptist Church.

Since entering the ministry, he has written and developed thousands of sermons and sermon outlines for use in sharing the message of Jesus with others. He is currently involved in a project to compile much of this material for publication. His hope is that, when completed, the insights God has given him to share over the years will find a new audience and inspire others to trust Jesus as their personal Savior.
